This Refund Policy applies to purchases made on searchpets.org operated by Search Pets, established 2001. Please read this policy carefully before purchasing our Premium Pet Alert service.

1. Services Covered

Standard Alert — Free

Our Standard lost pet report is provided at no charge. No payment is collected and no refunds apply.

Premium Pet Alert — $179.99 (One-Time)

The Premium Pet Alert includes all 15 recovery services on priority, Pet Amber Alert, volunteer flyer distribution in your neighborhood, featured listing, flyer generator, social sharing, extended distribution, and dedicated human support as described on our Pricing page. This is a one-time payment, not a subscription.

2. Payment Processing

Premium payments are processed securely through PayPal. Search Pets does not store your credit or debit card information. Your payment is subject to PayPal's terms and buyer protection policies in addition to this Refund Policy.

3. Refund Eligibility

You may be eligible for a full refund of $179.99 if all of the following conditions are met:

  • You submit a refund request within 48 hours of your payment date
  • Your Premium Pet Alert has not yet been processed or distributed by Search Pets
  • Your lost pet report was submitted with accurate information
  • The refund request is not the result of fraudulent activity or a chargeback abuse

4. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will not be issued in the following circumstances:

  • Your Premium alert has already been processed, published, or distributed
  • More than 48 hours have passed since your payment
  • Your pet has been found or your situation has changed and you no longer need the service
  • You are dissatisfied with the outcome of your pet search (Search Pets does not guarantee pet recovery — see our Disclaimer)
  • You submitted false, incomplete, or misleading information in your pet report
  • You initiated a PayPal dispute or chargeback without first contacting us
  • Partial use of Premium features (e.g., flyer generated, listing published) has already occurred

5. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, contact Search Pets with your payment confirmation and order details:

Please include:

  • Your full name and contact information used in the pet report
  • Pet name and date of submission
  • PayPal transaction ID or payment confirmation email
  • Reason for your refund request

We will review your request and respond within 3–5 business days. Approved refunds are issued to your original PayPal payment method within 5–10 business days, depending on PayPal processing times.

6. Cancellations Before Payment

If you begin the Premium checkout process but do not complete payment, no charge is made. Unpaid Premium orders stored during checkout expire automatically after 24 hours and are deleted from our system.

7. PayPal Disputes & Chargebacks

If you have a concern about a charge, please contact us directly before filing a PayPal dispute or bank chargeback. We are committed to resolving issues fairly. Filing a dispute without contacting us first may delay resolution and may affect your eligibility for future services.

8. Service Issues

If you experience a technical error that prevented your Premium alert from being submitted or processed, contact us immediately at (844) 484-3448. We will work to resolve the issue promptly, which may include reprocessing your alert at no additional charge or issuing a refund at our discretion.

9. Changes to This Policy

Search Pets reserves the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. The policy in effect at the time of your purchase applies to that transaction.
